Dr. Mark A. Green is a distinguished oral and maxillofacial surgeon with a passion for education,
research, and clinical excellence. Currently an Assistant Professor at Harvard School of Dental
Medicine, Dr. Green earned his dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental
Medicine before completing his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Massachusetts
General Hospital. During his training, he also obtained his medical degree from Harvard Medical
School.
Dr. Green initially built his career in private practice before transitioning to academic medicine.
Today, he is a full-time faculty member in the Plastic and Oral Surgery Department at Boston
Children's Hospital, where he dedicates his practice to pediatric oral and maxillofacial surgery.
His clinical and research interests include orthognathic surgery, pediatric pathology and trauma,
dentoalveolar surgery, anesthesia, and dental implants.
As a leader in the field, Dr. Green serves as the OMFS Residency Site Director at Boston
Children's Hospital for the Massachusetts General Hospital Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Program. He is also the Co-Chair of the Executive Sedation Committee at Boston Children’s
Hospital and a Board Examiner for the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
